THE ULTIMATE GUIDE ON HOW TO PROTECT FROM ROUNDUP WEED KILLER IN YOUR FOOD

The other day, I received an e-mail from another worried mother: “What are we supposed to eat when all our food is contaminated by Roundup??!!! “

She had just heard the news …

Earlier this week, a federal jury unanimously determined that the Roundup weed killer was responsible for cancer. In this case, Edwin Hardeman claimed that non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma had been exposed to Roundup and that the jury had not yet awarded damages. This case follows an earlier case in which Monsanto was ordered to pay $ 78.5 million in damages to a Californian national after a jury found them responsible for failing to warn that Roundup was in danger origin of cancer.

Despite the risks, Roundup is the most widely used herbicide in the world. It continues to be used in food crops, parks, playgrounds and by homeowners everywhere. It is now so common in our environment that it has been found in honey, cereals, meat, drinking water, breast milk, infant formula, chips, biscuits, crackers, flakes oats … the list is long.

IT IS TRUE! ROUNDUP HERBICIDE HAS INFILTRATED MOST FOODS.

It’s maddening to discover that Roundup Herbicide has been found in your daughter’s favorite grains, in your baby’s food and in the ice cream you like to enjoy on Saturday night.

HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY FROM ROUNDUP IN YOUR FOOD:

Choose Certified Organic Foods. Roundup is banned on organic crops. Although contamination is a real threat, the levels found in organic foods are minimal compared to those found in conventional foods. It has been shown that people who consume organic foods have less glyphosate and less synthetic pesticides in their system. If you have any doubts about organic foods containing less Roundup, keep reading.

Eat Whole Foods Grown Locally. It goes hand in hand with the first council. Once you have chosen the organic, it is even better if these organic foods are grown locally, “whole” and unprocessed. Many ingredients in processed convenience foods travel long distances (sometimes internationally) and can come in contact with conventional ingredients throughout the supply chain, which can then contaminate these organic ingredients. In simple terms, the greater the distance and processing of these ingredients, the higher the risk of contamination.

Shop at Your Local Farmer’s Market. This allows you to shake a farmer’s hand and ask him what types of chemicals he uses. If they are not organic, ask them specifically if they use Roundup in their fields at any time of the year.

Grow Your Own Food. It is not feasible for most of us to cultivate everything we eat, but that does not mean you should not start a garden. Choose a few items that you buy each week. Do you like kale, spinach and leafy vegetables? They are easy to grow. Do you spend a lot on fresh basil? Herbs are among the easiest things to start with and take up very little space. Start small and increase your production each year.

Eat at Home. Instead of going to a restaurant where you do not know where the food comes from, it’s always safer to cook at home with organic ingredients that you choose yourself. Remember that even most farm-to-table and vegan restaurants do not use 100% organic or non-existent ingredients. Better yet, cooking at home allows you to use organic products that you have grown yourself.

Use A High-Quality Water Filter At Home. Roundup is not only in our food; it is also in our drinking water. Instead of buying expensive bottles (which in many cases are just tap water), invest in a water filter for your home that filters out pesticides such as glyphosate.

Stop Buying Roundup for Use in Your Garden. It’s obvious, I know, but you’d be surprised how many people who buy organic products and eat healthy always buy Roundup for their garden because “it works”. You may think it’s good because you do not eat it, but in reality, it does not stay in your garden where you put it. It is found in our groundwater, in our rainwater and in our air, where it spreads in our environment. This is how organic food and water are contaminated. Do not contribute to the problem.

Ask Your Parks and School Boards to Stop Using Roundup. Inform them of the dangers and ask them to find safe alternatives. Team up with other concerned citizens in your area and plan to start a petition in your city. It will take popular movements to get Roundup out of our communities as quickly as possible.
