From the most recent news, Kevin Cahill, Lehigh’s head coach, broadcasted the addition of 17 student-athletes that will be joining the Mountain Hawks football program during the summer season.

A milestone to be noted is Luke Yoder, the first-year running back, has been named as the Jerry Rice Award’s finalist. The Jerry Rice Award distinguishes the national freshman of the year in Division I FCS football. Luke Yoder is also a two-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week who has been present in Lehigh’s 9 out of 11 games in the 2023 season. His accomplishments include running 135 times for 644 yards which accumulated for a remarkable 4.8 yards-per-carry clip, while he also scored five touchdowns. Additionally, two members of the Mountain Hawks bagged their first Patriot League win of the season in a 27-18 point victory. They were granted Patriot League weekly awards. The county league’s defensive back, Nick Peltekian was titled Special Teams Player of the Week while Mike DeNucci, senior linebacker received an honorable mention from the league for his unwavering attempt against the Bison. DeNucci escorted the Mountain Hawk defensive efforts with nine tackles.
