Political Animals

The book was written in 2016 by the renowned author Richard Shenkman who highlights the psyche of politicians. It dwells on various Presidents such as Kennedy, Reagan, Nixon and others, who are exemplars of image-making and manipulation.

All previous leaders and presidents have been telling us that they decided to run because of their great love of the country. Yet according to Shenkman, their decision is driven primarily with a burning hunger for power and status. You can check out the book here.

Presidential Ambition

The book Presidential Ambition is another masterpiece by Richard Shenkman. Here he takes a more historical and cynical approach to the question of how a president uses and consolidates power.

In addition to compromising principles, lying, manipulation of the press, and attempts to swerve public opinion that take place in the Oval Office, Shenkman also investigates the nefarious methods by which these men became America’s leaders.

State of Confusion: Political Manipulation and the Assault on the American Mind

The answer to many of the questions that haunt the minds of millions of Americans is here. Why are Americans so vulnerable when it comes to divisive political tactics? Why did Americans get dragged into such an unwise war in Iraq? Why do fundamentalist religious groups and Fox News still play an influential role in the American political landscape?

These questions hold America’s future in the balance. Most importantly, this book explains how and why Americans must act to fight back against this harmful manipulation by the leaders. Dr Welch’s exploration of the American mind is both fascinating and frightening. State of Confusion is a must-read for everyone who cares about the future of this great country.

Politicians and leaders have been manipulating the public mentality for a long time. There are a lot of things which are kept from the public and only those things are broadcasted which may influence the mindsets in a particular way.
